Properties
Size
:
Artwork comes in various sizes, each contributing to the overall impact and presentation of the piece. While standard sizes like A4 offer familiarity and convenience, many artists explore unique dimensions that challenge traditional norms. These non-standard sizes, whether smaller or larger, open up new avenues for creativity. Compact artworks draw viewers in, inviting closer inspection, while larger formats can overwhelm with their grandeur. The size of a piece is a deliberate choice, influencing how we engage with the art, emphasizing different details, and evoking distinct emotional responses. In the world of art, size is yet another canvas for artistic expression.

Orientation
:
Orientation, whether landscape or portrait, is a crucial aspect of artwork presentation that profoundly influences the viewer's perception. Landscape orientation, characterized by a wider width, often lends itself to expansive vistas, sweeping panoramas, and a sense of vastness. It's ideal for capturing sweeping landscapes, seascapes, and conveying a sense of space and openness. On the other hand, portrait orientation, with its taller height, is more conducive to showcasing the human form, intimate portraits, and vertical compositions that emphasize height and depth. Artists carefully select the orientation that best aligns with their artistic vision, using it as a tool to convey emotions, focus on details, or create a particular visual impact. The choice between landscape and portrait orientation is a fundamental decision that can profoundly shape the narrative and aesthetics of an artwork.
Portrait
Substrate
:
a substrate refers to the physical surface or material upon which an artist applies their chosen art medium to create their artwork. This can include surfaces like canvas, paper, wood, fabric, metal, or any other material that can accept and support the application of various art mediums such as paint, ink, charcoal, pastels, and more.

Lightfastness
:
Lightfastness refers to the ability of art materials, such as pigments, inks, and paints, to resist fading or discoloration when exposed to light, especially sunlight. Because some of my art is made with over the counter standard felt tip markers they have a low Lightfastness and will fade over time. This is a feature and not a bug. for the price I sell these works you can always by a new one. Here are some tips how you can prevent this unavoidable fate: https://sillyraptor.com/lightfastness I have other works which are made with lightfast materials so in the propery list of each work you can read if the artwork is lightfast or if it is not.
